The project called El Boleo is located on the east coast of the Baja California Peninsula, near the port and town of Santa Rosalia, Mulege municipality, in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. The geographical coordinates of the project are from Latitude 27o14 to 27o25 North and Longitude 112o14 to 112o22 West. The mining concessions covering the copper-cobalt-zinc deposits are owned by Minera y Metalurgica del Boleo SAPI de CV The MMB consists of several surface and underground mines under development. For the development of surface mines, Minera Boleo uses open pit mining techniques and equipment, such as trucks, excavators and front-end loaders, for all its extraction of ore and waste. The underground mining method at MMB is short wall mining or strip mining taking into account geological conditions and the mined ore is brought to the surface by a conveyor belt system.
