Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs promotes the security and welfare of Finland and the Finns, and strives to attain a fair and secure world. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the network of diplomatic missions abroad subordinate to the Ministry serve Finns, Finlands economy and society, government leaders and Parliament. The network of Finnish missions abroad comprises 92 offices. In addition, Finland has about 400 honorary consulates. Alongside the embassies, consulates and other service points in different countries, Finland has diplomatic missions to international organizations, such as the United Nations. The scope of activities extends from relations between states to assistance for individual citizens.
