So what is the MISS Foundation? The MISS Foundation is an international 501(c) 3 non-profit organization helping and healing families during and after the death of a child due to any cause, at any age. The MISS Foundations MISSion of C.A.R.E. is four-fold: Counseling, Advocacy, Research, & Education. We seek to create a more mindful and compassionate world for the bereaved. Counseling: We provide culturally competent counseling, an array of support services, and mental health care by highly specialized clinicians pro-bono and sliding scale to parents, siblings, grandparents, and community members facing bereavement after an infant or child death. Advocacy: We work toward more compassionate policies and laws for bereaved families and to facilitate a healing and healthy societal response to bereavement.
