Mitchell Metal Products was founded in 1954 by Gordon and Arlette Mitchell. With a single-punch press Gordon struck out on his own as a producer of hardware for manufacturing projects. Over time, additional press capacity and metal forming capabilities were added to address the need for high-quality metal products in the Central Wisconsin region. In 2008 a major transition took place when Timothy Zimmerman led a local investment group to purchase the organization, from the Mitchell Family.
