Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church

Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church, a mission church plant of the former Augusta Street Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville SC, began meeting together for worship services in May 1969 under the leadership of Dr. Thomas G. Cross, the former pastor of Augusta Street Presbyterian Church. The first worship service, with approximately 90 people in attendance at Northwood Junior High School, began the fulfillment of a vision for reaching the growing Eastside Greenville community. Over the years, church leadership has placed a strong emphasis on Missions, Evangelism, Church Planting and Christian Education. Mitchell Road continues in its commitment to Missions by supporting over 30 missions agencies, including over 70 missionaries, in North America and internationally. Locally, the church has actively participated in several church plants in Greenville County during recent years.
