MIT.nano

MIT.nano is a 200,000-square-foot nanoscience and nanotechnology facility in the heart of the campus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Launched in 2018, the mission of MIT.nano is to support MIT faculty, students, and other researchers seeking to harness the power of the nanoscale in service to humanitys greatest challenges. MIT.nanos spaces include approximately 45,000 square feet of Class 100 clean room; extensive imaging and metrology suites; an Immersion Lab for advanced research in visualization, augmented reality, and virtual reality; and a prototyping facility for translating nano-discoveries into applied technologies. Our tools and instruments are available to MIT students, faculty, and researchers based in any school or department, as well as employees of the companies in the MIT.nano Consortium, other academic institutions, and members of industry.
