When Marisa Berenson introduced Jose Fonseca to April Duckbury in the middle of the sixties, London was the ultimate place to be. The most talented photographers and the most glamorous models all gathered at the same place, and the creativity of the city was at its peak. Joses prestigious little black book added to Aprils business savvy contributed to the creation of Models 1 in November 1968. 50 years later, Models 1 is one of the leading model agencies in the world, world-renowned for scouting and representing iconic models and talents such as, Naomi Campbell, Twiggy, Yasmin Le Bon, Linda Evangelista, Maggie Rizer, Alexina Graham, Olivia Palermo amongst others. Being the very first model agency to design a head sheet, in collaboration with late artist Dennis Bailey, Models 1 has always been ahead of its time.
