Founded in 1993 at the initiative of and with active assistance from the Government of Moscow and the regional branch of the Federal Securities Commission of Russia, OAO Moscow Securities Center was one of the pioneers of the modern Russian securities market. The MSC has been closely involved in the implementation of an integrated program for the development of Moscows corporate securities market since 1997, becoming a pilot project for a chain of retail securities trading outlets. The Moscow Securities Centers technology has developed in lockstep with the maturing of Russias securities market as well as its instruments and methodology. The MSC was among the first companies to offer online brokerage services in Russia. Throughout most of its history, the Moscow Securities Center was part of some of Russias major financial groups, first OLMA and then Antanta Capital.
