Motherwell Cheshire Description Motherwell Cheshire is a CIO that offers support in the towns of Winsford and Crewe and surrounding areas. Founded in 2015 by Kate Blakemore as a CIC, Motherwell has grown over the years to become a CIO is 2017 with Kate as the CEO. Motherwell Cheshire has a dedicated team of specialists providing support, education, and advocacy to women and girls. Through peer support, mentoring, counselling, crisis support and volunteering we support women and girls to improve their self advocacy skills and their mental health and wellbeing. Motherwell Cheshire mission statement is Encourage, Inspire and Empower the women and girls that we support. Motherwell Cheshire have created a community of women, run by women for women. Motherwell Cheshire is embedded in the local community and receives referrals from GPs, social care, health visitors , midwifes and other third sector organisations.
