Movimento Difesa del Cittadino

MOVIMENTO DIFESA DEL CITTADINO (MDC) is a national consumer association founded in 1987 to protect the civil rights of citizens from all forms of abuse by bureaucracy and companies in their dealings with consumers. Since its establishment in 1998, it has been a member of the National Council of Consumers and Users (CNCU) at the Ministry of Economic Development, where it is listed in the register of representative associations at national level, engaging in all institutional fora to claim the support and representation of consumers. MOVIMENTO DIFESA DEL CITTADINO is also a landmark figure in the fight against over-indebtment. Recognized by the Directorate General for Health and Consumer Protection (DG SANCO) of the European Commission, it is part of the Council of Consumer and Producer Associations on Food Safety, at the Ministry of Health.
