Individual advocacy – assists people to stand up for their rights,for example,when people have problems with housing,immigration,school,work and disability services.,systemic advocacy – works towards positive change in policies,procedures,practices and service delivery in government and non-government agencies.,advocacy development – offers community information days,training and information sessions for people from cald/nesb with disability and their families and carers.,industry development – assists disability services across nsw to become more culturally competent and assists ethnic community services to understand and respond better to people with disability.,ndis pre-planning – supports people to attain the life they want through their own individual planning as a strategy to get ready for the ndis,small stone – creating opportunities for real inclusion and active participation of young people with disability in the community,community voices – uses the skills and expertise of people from a cald/nesb with disability and family members trained to educate and raise awareness about the diversity of the community.,counselling/support – information advocacy project – supports people to be more independent at home and in the community. the project supports people from 18 to 65 years of age with disability and carers who live in western sydney district (auburn,blacktown city,holroyd,parramatta city and the hills).,training,research & consultancy – we provide training in cultural competence and disability rights through mdaa cultural abilities (rto). we conduct cultural competence audits and provide advice on diversity management on a fee for service basis. we develop a range of resources and tools .,sexual lives: respectful relationships project – a peer education project in prevention of violence and abuse particularly against women with disability.,and ndis community information and promotion project – building the capacity of people from cald/nesb with disability to understand the rights,improve access and to exercise choice and control over their lives,particularly with the changes the national disability insurance scheme (ndis) brings.
