Multinational CIMIC Group

The Multinational CIMIC Group is a NATO partner CIMIC specialized unit, projected for the civil-military cooperation at tactical and operational level, to enhance the effectiveness of military operations and serve as an essential forum for CIMIC consultations and as a centre of expertise for CIMIC related matters. MNCG HQ can be tasked by SACEUR with Collective Defense Operations under Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty and Crisis Response Operations under non-Article 5 in support of peace and international security. The challenges for MNCG sit within the core functions of CIMIC: Civil Military Liaison, Support the Force and Support Civil Actors and their Environment. MNCG has been taking part in all the missions abroad of the Italian Army since the post-cold war period.
