Music to Life

Music to Life connects socially conscious musicians with the mentors, resources and training needed to realize their bold visions for community change. A cultural icon for the political and protest movements of the 60s, Noel Paul Stookey (of the folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary) and his enterprising daughter, Liz, carry the organizations vision together. For more than a decade, Liz & Noel Paul have explored the landscape of music and social justice, asking how music might become a more strategic tool for social change. To test the waters, the father/daughter pair recruited a diverse, cross-functional national team, producing social justice songwriting contests, multimedia programs, educational panels, conference sessions and commemorative events.
