Mutiara Mortgage & Credit Sdn. Bhd. (MUTIARA) was established on 5th February 1993 as a subsidiary and wholly-owned of Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Sarawak. It was initially known as SP Pembangunan Sdn. Bhd. and on 22nd December 1994 the name was changed to Mutiara Perumahan Sdn. Bhd. On 1st August 2013, the companys name was changed to Mutiara Mortgage & Credit Sdn. Bhd. as it carries the vision to be preferred alternate financing agency for affordable housing. With the initiative of our present Premier, Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Abang Haji Openg (former Minister of Housing, Sarawak), mortgage unit to finance the lower income group house ownership was established. On 17th June 2015, MUTIARA Housing Loan Scheme was launched by the Minister of Housing Sarawak. On 1st January 2021, Mutiara has obtained Shariah Compliance Certification and provides comprehensive Shariah compliance Islamic Home Financing Packages with profit rate as low as 1%. ...
