MyGU started as a spin-off at Freie Universitat Berlin (supported by the EXIST business start-up grant) the company moved to Hamburg in early 2020 - having won InnoRampUp (IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH), one of Germanys most attractive public seed fundings.
The two founders of MyGermanUniversity have previously worked for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as directors of the DAAD offices in Italy (Tobias Bargmann) and Peru (Stephan Paulini)
