NAKAI Robotics

We develop autonomous, in-transit hull grooming and inspection technology for ships. By actively avoiding millions of tons of air and water pollution, and minimizing the transmission of invasive aquatic species, were improving our oceans health while reducing maintenance and insurance expenses significantly. Biofouling is a critical factor impacting vessel performance and pollution. Slime and aquatic organisms accumulate rapidly on underwater surfaces, leading to a 2.5% loss in speed due to increased drag and more than 10% excess fuel consumption. When hulls are not proactively cleaned, later biofouling formations can result in up to 80% additional fuel costs. NakAIs fully autonomous AI-guided hull cleaning robot addresses this climate-critical challenge head on.
