Nakkas Shipping & Trading Co. is one of the oldest Turkish shipping companies; established originally in 1860 in Mersin / Turkey. The core of the business at the beginning was serving several worldwide-known Owners vessels as agents, which is still an important part of the business activities today. In 2002 the company moved its head office to Istanbul right in the heart of Turkish shipping and trading market, to meet the demands arising from ship management services given to the bulk carriers. Presently the company has its own branch agency offices in Mersin, Bandirma, Iskenderun, Izmir and also has sub-agents at all remaining Turkish ports.
