MISSION STATEMENT Provide support, advocacy and education in order to improve the quality of life of individuals with mental illness and their families. WHO WE ARE: Established in 1985, NAMI DuPage is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit mental health organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in DuPage County that are affected by mental illness. The organization has evolved into the countys leading voice on mental health issues by providing free supportive services programs to individuals and families coping with mental disabilities including support groups, one-on-one peer counseling, drop-in centers, and a resource helpline. In addition, the organization raises awareness and understanding about mental illness through community education programs, directed to law enforcement, hospital staff, faith-based leaders, library personnel and schools, and hospital outreach services (in partnership with all six DuPage County hospitals).
