Nammo is an international aerospace and defense company headquartered in Norway. With more than 2 700 employees, 28 production sites and a presence in 12 countries, Nammo is today one of the worlds leading providers of specialty ammunition and rocket motors for both military and civilian customers. Nammo Karlsborg is located next to the historical Karlsborg fortress at the western side of lake Vattern in Sweden. The ammunition production activities started in 1870 in the old Karlsborg fortress. Already in 1887 the factory was moved outside the fortress compound, where they remain to this day. Karlsborg employs around 150 people, and serves as Nammos primary hub for small caliber ammunition for use by assault rifles and other light weapons, including armor piercing and non-toxic/lead free ammunition.
