National Agency for Public Procurement

The National Agency for Public Procurement (ANAP) is the institution that manages the public procurement system in Romania, having as a fundamental role the conceptualizing, promoting and implementing public procurement policies, as well as monitoring the efficient operation of the public procurement system. ANAP took over the duties, activity, positions and staff from the National Authority for Regulating and Monitoring of Public Procurement (ANRMAP), from the Public Procurement Coordination and Verification Unit (UCVAP) within the Ministry of Public Finance and from the public procurement verification departments within the regional general directorates of public finances.
