National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP)/ Indian Council of Agricumtural Research

National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) is conceived and operationalized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) with funding support raised from the World Bank. Its overall objective is to facilitate an accelerated and sustainable transformation of Indian agriculture so that it can support poverty alleviation and income generation through collaborative development and application of agricultural innovations by the public organizations in partnership with farmers groups, the private sector and other stakeholders. Component-4 of NAIP aims at building capacity to undertake basic and strategic research in frontier areas to meet challenges in technology development in the immediate and predictable future
