National Black Nurses Association

The National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) is a professional organization that represents over 308,000 African American nurses and advocates for the health and wellness of black communities. Founded in 1971, NBNA is a non-profit organization that seeks to increase the number of black nurses in the workforce, promote cultural competence in healthcare, and eliminate health disparities in black communities. With over 115 chapters across the United States and the Virgin Islands, NBNA provides a platform for black nurses to exchange ideas, stay up-to-date on the latest advancements, and network with like-minded individuals.
