National was founded in 1947 as the Durham Flying Club by the Boy family who had a vision for affordable, luxury air travel. Our visionary services initially included flying executives in modified vintage aircraft. In the early 70s with our first Learjet purchase, National Jets proudly trained Vietnam veteran fighter pilots so they could make the transition from wartime to professional corporate pilots for the growing executive and private jet aviation industry.
