National Museum of Natural Science

Welcoming more than 3 million visitors each year, The National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS) is the first and largest of the three science museums in Taiwan. Located in Taichung, in Central Taiwan, NMNS includes not only a natural science museum but also a science center for hands-on learning, a full dome large-screen theater, and a botanical garden. NMNS additionally oversees the administration and programming of three off-site education centers focused on geological sciences and ecology. The Museums exhibitions and public programs are anchored by its mission to engage learners of all ages in scientific research and science education. With more than 96000 square meters (> 1 million square feet) of space available for permanent galleries, temporary exhibitions and programs, NMNS offers learning opportunities and facilitates dialogue on topics ranging from Taiwan endemism and ecology to contemporary anthropology to emerging technologies, and more.
