National Research Council of Sri Lanka

The National Research Council of Sri Lanka (NRC) is a premier funding agency tasked with fostering and supporting scientific and technological research in the country. Established as a statutory body in 2016 by the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the NRC is dedicated to building a robust and dynamic scientific community in Sri Lanka. The NRC provides financial assistance to public sector scientists to facilitate cutting-edge research in science and technology. This is aimed at promoting and supporting research activities in higher educational institutions and public sector research institutes, as well as other governmental institutes, to help build a strong research foundation that contributes to the nations needs.
