Healthcare scientists are involved in 80% of all clinical decisions in the NHS and developing some of the most amazing clinical and technological advancements. The National School of Healthcare Science is part of Health Education England. We support the implementation and delivery of healthcare science education and training programmes. To become a Clinical Scientist look into our Scientist Training Programme (STP). STP is a three-year programme of work based learning, supported by a University accredited masters degree. To become a Consultant Clinical Scientist look into our Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST). HSST is a five-year programme, you can join the programme either as a direct entry (apply for a new post) or as an in service entry (nominated by your current employer).
