NC Education Corps

North Carolina Education Corps (NCEC) envisions a nation, starting in North Carolina, where all students have the educational support they need to thrive. Our vision is supported by a motivated, growing community of champions for students who advance outcomes and unlock their potential through high-impact tutoring. At NCEC, we mobilize and empower an untapped local workforce of caring adults such as parents, caregivers, retired teachers, instructional assistants, and college students, who want to make a difference by engaging in high-impact tutoring. In our first three years: 1,265 total tutors hired and trained and 22,000+ total students served. We support our corps members with best-in-practice training, the latest in data-informed and research-based tutoring methodologies, and ongoing monitoring and assistance as needed.
