Nederlandse Obesitas Kliniek

The Nederlandse Obesitas Kliniek (NOK) was founded in 1993 as a center of conservative treatment of morbid obesity. By the end of 2007 Zorginitiatieven B.V. bought the NOK with one clinic in Hilversum to use it as a springboard to transform the business concept into reality. The concept entails the full integrated treatment of patients with obesity in which surgery, internal medicine, psychology, dietetics and physiotherapy is offered as an interdisciplinary health product. In the last two years the health protocol is developed meticulously; two new locations are opened; a joint venture is set up with hospitals and involved surgeons and a complete information system has been developed.
