Nelson Homes

On March 1, 1949 brothers Ray & Austin Nelson opened a small lumber yard in Lloydminster, Alberta; calling it Nelson Lumber. Their motto was simple; Give People - Always - Top quality and more for their money. Business flourished and the brothers soon realized that people needed more than just lumber and good advice with which to build homes. Their vision was to provide a complete home building service from well crafted designs - to the manufacturing of the components and the delivery of a total package to the customers job site. In 1958 a separate division, Nelson Homes, was started. The convenience of the package system was well received in areas where construction labor and efficient delivery were difficult to come by. Nelson Homes has grown to be Canadas Largest home manufacturer and a trusted leader in the industry.
