New Mexico Association of Counties

New Mexico Counties (NMC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing and serving New Mexicos 33 counties. NMC works with counties to advance the publics vital interest in effective, efficient, and responsive local government. NMCs mission is to work as a united body by representing the interests of all counties to promote effective and efficient county government. As a professional association of county elected officials and employees, NMC has served as a statewide voice for New Mexicos counties since 1968. NMC supports and promotes the idea that all county elected officials and employees should have the opportunity to work together to solve problems and to advance the interests of county government in New Mexico.
