Established in 1898, Niemen Tehtaat Oy is the oldest and one of the largest furniture manufacturer in Finland. Continuity of a business is based on to act as a family business and is now led by the fourth generation. Production is carried out with respect for tradition. Tradition and modern product development together meet todays needs. Corporate structure has been divided under three different brands. Niemi Design makes direct to consumer -business (D2C). Niemi Design is operating purely via website and webshop. Niemen Tehtaat is business to business (B2B) and manufactures furniture for cruise ship cabins, offices, Kindergarten and nursery homes. ByNiemi concentrates on business to consumer (B2C). Our retailers are the biggest Finnish interior design stores, furniture retail chains as well as individual furniture stores.
