Nirma Volunteaching Movement

Nirma Volunteaching Movement is a student-led initiative under AIREP, taken by the students of Nirma University, to educate and empower children from the vulnerable areas of rural village Miroli, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We visit them every Saturday, to guide them through academic subjects as well as co-curricular activities like sports, dance, art, etc. The Volun-teachers share a special bond with the children. Along with the role of a mentor and tutor, we become their friend and confidant, and the children lovingly call us Didi and Bhaiya. Vision: To kindle the light of joyful and passionate learning in the eyes of our pupil. To see this light, spread in ripples, all over the world. Mission: To teach village children, and to instill in them a spirit of wonder and inquisitiveness that drives them towards self-education.
