Noreasters A Cappella

The Noreasters are Northeastern Universitys premiere a cappella group and the feature group on the TV docu-series, Sing It On. Composed of the top vocalists at Northeastern, this group has established a fierce and nuanced wall of vocal sound. Over the past three years, The Noreasters have been highly decorated for their musical excellence. In 2013, The Noreasters won the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), an international tournament hosted annually by Varsity Vocals, winning numerous awards for outstanding performances throughout their tenure in the ICCA tournament. In addition, both of The Noreasters most recent albums have been named Best Mixed Collegiate Album for both 2013 and 2014 at the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA). Additionally, they have picked up the highest number of Best Arrangement Awards in the history of the ICCA and CARAs, by a single arranger, Shams Ahmed.
