North Shore Fire Department

Established on January 1, 1995 the North Shore Fire Department serves the municipalities of Bayside, Brown Deer, Fox Point, Glendale, River Hills, Shorewood, and Whitefish Bay. The department is comprised of 108 full-time fire fighters and 7 support staff members. The Fire Chiefs Command Staff includes: 1 Deputy Chief and 3 Battalion Chiefs. Other staff include 24 Fire Lieutenants, 24 Heavy Equipment Operators, and 56 Firefighters(combination of EMTs and Paramedics). Basic life support and advanced life support emergency medical services are provided by the fire department.
