It began in 1968 with just one company -- Sharpsburg Community Center, which was to become the Northern Area Multi-Service Center of Allegheny County (NAMS). Today, NAMS forms a Human Service Network providing a variety of needed programs and services to thousands of people each year. NAMS provides a range of community service programs throughout the Pittsburgh region in partnership with other area organizations, including state and local government.
