Northern Ohio Golf Association

The Northern Ohio Golf Association is a descendant of the Cleveland District Golf Association. The name was changed in 1981 to better describe the geographic area we serve. Since 1917 we have grown from the original eight clubs - The Country Club, Dover Bay, Highland Park, Mayfield, Oakwood, Shaker Heights, Westwood and Willowick - the 48 clubs today. The founders mission was simply to provide for occassional interclub competition and fellowship at the different clubs. While the NOGA still provides interclub competition, our mission, as with the times, has expanded and is continually adapting to the needs of our membership. The success of the Northern Ohio Golf Association is directly dependent upon the participation and cooperation of both our member clubs and the clubs individual members. The NOGA is very fortunate to enjoy a strong tradition of active participation by its members who help us promote and preserve the traditions and integrity of the Game of Golf
