Norton Shores Fire Dept

The Norton Shores Fire Department provides fire, medical, and rescue services to the residents and visitors of Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park. In addition, the Departments Fire Prevention Bureau provides fire prevention inspections of new and existing buildings and public safety education programs. They maintain the Hazardous Material information on the area businesses. The department services an area of 25.5 square miles with a total population of 26,417, including both the cities of Norton Shores and Roosevelt Park. The City of Roosevelt Park and Muskegon County Airport are under contractual agreements for response services. Staffing: Department staffing consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Fire Marshal, 27 full-time and six part-time firefighters, and two full-time Administrative Assistants.
