The Norwegian Research Center for AI Innovation (NorwAI) will be an internationally leading center for research-based innovation on data-driven artificial intelligence. Its mission is to develop theories, methods and technologies for successful and responsible exploitation of data-driven artificial intelligence, leading to industrial innovations. The center includes Norways strongest research communities on artificial intelligence and data science, and some of the most ambitious industrial locomotives. In addition to advancing the state-of-the-art in AI research, the center will put special focus on trustworthiness and sustainability. This means that all technology development at the center will include results from multi-disciplinary research activities on societal impact and ethics, privacy and security, and technology transparency.
