Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) is a regulatory body established by the Nurses and Midwives Act No. 10 of 2019. Its core mandate is to regulate the education and training of student nurses and midwives and to further regulate the professional conduct and practice of all nurses and midwives practicing in the Republic of Zambia. In exercising these mandates, NMCZ does the following: -approves all training institutions intending to offer nursing or midwifery training programmes in consultation with the Higher Education Authority (HEA). -development of nursing and midwifery curricula in consultation with Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA). -Ensures all nursing and midwifery students are indexed. -Assesses all intending training institutions. -Accredits all Practical Training sites and Continuing Professional Development Providers. -Conducts Nursing and Midwifery Competence and Licensure examinations. -Registers nursing and midwives practicing in the country. -Li...
