NZ Food and Grocery Council

The New Zealand Food and Grocery Council (NZFGC) is an industry association championing the manufacturers and suppliers behind the nations food, beverage, and grocery brands. Representing the $40 billion domestic food and beverage market and $34 billion in exports. We also support the companies and people behind the scenes who contribute to getting food and grocery products on shelves every day. Our members directly or indirectly employ around half a million people an estimated one in five of the workforce. NZFGC makes representations to the Government, and other relevant organisations on matters that affect the industry, and liaises with government departments on food legislation, trade practices, and environmental issues, working as needed with a range of stakeholders, including from the fast-moving consumer goods industry and NGOs.
