OAU has introduced eLearning for some of its programmes. These programmes are administered through its Center for Distance Learning. The Obafemi Awolowo University Center for Distance Learning (OAUCDL) was established in 2002 to facilitate the development and delivery of part-time academic and professional programmes by the open and distance learning mode. The CDL vision is to expand the reach of education that is open, flexible and responsive to the challenges of a rapidly changing world, accessible worldwide: anywhere, anytime, and to virtually any qualified person who may seek to pursue further studies with the center. On Friday, 23rd July 2014, following approval from the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), OAUCDL began receiving applications into its eLearning programme for B.Sc.
