ODonohues Bakery is a 4th generation, family run business that was re-established in Tullamore Co. Offaly by husband and wife team, Cathal and Frances ODonohue. Cathal, a 3rd generation master baker from Co. Mayo, came to Tullamore back in 1989 with his wife Frances and their 4 children to pursue his dream of opening his own bakery. 1st April 1989, ODonohues start to manufacture and supply their bread with a total of 3 staff. The iconic slogan Use Your Loaf & Keep the Dough in Town, quickly gained popularity and today, the bakery thrives in a 26,000 sq. Ft manufacturing facility in Kilcruttin Centre, led by a dedicated team of 30 staff. ODonohues are Grade AA BRC accredited and supply the major and independent retailers in the Midlands with their premium hand-crafted Yeast and Soda breads that have been winning Great Taste Awards since 2008.
