The Attorney General is the legal adviser to the Government of Ireland, as provided by Article 30.1 of the Constitution. Rossa Fanning SC is the Attorney General. The Office of the Attorney General comprises Advisory Counsel and the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel to the Government, both of which are based in offices in Government Buildings, Merrion Street, as well as the Chief State Solicitors Office (CSSO). The Office of the Attorney General provides a wide range of expert legal services to Ministers, Departments and offices across Government, specialising in constitutional law, administrative law and European law.
