Ole Mathiesen A/S

Ole Mathiesens proud tradition of watchmaking, can be dated back to the year 1845, where the watchmakers Carl Matthi and J.P. Christensen, founded a watch workshop in the heart of Copenhagen. Until the year of 1919 Alvild Dahl, Christensen and Matthi produced pocket watches and chronometer watches. In the year of 1919 the famous watch workshop was assigned to the watch specialist Axel O. Mathiesen, that with a new modern take and success managed to redesign the watch workshop and initiate a cooperation with a watch brand from Switzerland. This was the beginning of the family company and of the historic Ole Mathiesen shop in the heart of Copenhagen. In 1962 Ole Mathiesen was assigned with the company from his father Axel O. Mathiesen, where he followed the traditional steps of his father as a watch specialist.
