The companys first business forays spanned the travel industry with services such as booking, airline representation, cargo handling and airport ground-handling services. By 1967, the company had already set on its path to expansion, acquiring British Petroleum and becoming sole distributors of brands such as Rothmans, Palmolive and Colgate.
