Oneida Community Mansion House (OCMH)

The Mansion House is the historic home of the utopian Oneida Community (1848-1880). The 93,000 square ft. Mansion House is a National Historic Landmark where visitors can enjoy period rooms and interpretive exhibits in the museum, as well as programs, facility rentals, and overnight lodging. It is surrounded by 33 acres of landscaped lawns, gardens, trails and a historic golf course. The Communitys radical social practices, which included living and working communally and advocating for womens equality, challenged contemporary ideas of family and gender roles in ways that are still relevant today.
