Open Doors US

Open Doors originated in 1955, when a young Dutchman started smuggling Bibles to the persecuted Christians in Communist Europe. He became known as Brother Andrew, and his work led to more than six decades of support for the persecuted church. Open Doors works in more than 70 countries, supplying Bibles, training church leaders, providing practical support and emergency relief, and supporting Christians who suffer persecution and discrimination for their faith. Our U.S. office works to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilizing prayer, support, and action among Christians. Open Doors continues in the footsteps of its founder, Brother Andrew, in its core value to be people of the Bible. Despite increased security control and restrictions, Open Doors provides contextualized Christian materials in minority languages.
