Orange Community Education & Recreation

Orange Community Education & Recreation, located on the Orange City Schools campus, was founded in 1973 at the joint request of the Orange Board of Education and the communities of Hunting Valley, Moreland Hills, Orange, Pepper Pike and Woodmere. Since that time, Orange Community Education & Recreation has become an integral part of the Orange City Schools and has emerged as the community cent for lifelong learning, recreation and much more! As one of the most comprehensive community education and recreation programs in the state of Ohio, the department has been recognized as a model community education program by the Ohio Department of Education. The department has also garnered national recognition for its quality and diversity of programs, for its professional operation and innovative management, and for its community involvement initiatives.
