Oregon Environmental Council brings Oregonians together to protect the water, air, and land we all share and love. We advocate for impactful, lasting solutions that get at the source of Oregons environmental problems and have real benefits for peoples health and quality of life. Our goals are a stable climate that safeguards our communities and economy; clean and plentiful water that supports people, fish and wildlife; and healthy homes and neighborhoods free of air pollution and hazardous chemicals. Founded in 1968 by concerned Oregonians across the state, Oregon Environmental Council is a membership-based, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with a long record of success and a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
