The mission of Our House is to end the cycle of homelessness for families. Our House was established in 1988 by concerned community residents who realized that shelter rules required homeless families to leave early each morning and not return until late in the afternoon. This left families with no where to go during the day, and women with no one to care for their children while they attempted to find work or hold down a job.
